I also was surprised at the asking price (and would never pay it), but someone who just needs another pitcher for a run might... you never know.

    Re: 1984 Hot Stove

It is pretty sad how very good to excellent pitching is so scarce in this league... you almost have to have a top three pick to get any kind of good pitching. Everyone wants younger / better...

AS just noticed that my list needs revision. I am working on getting a new one to you... please disregard the original list.

    Thanks,

    Both have now been traded.

It's probably also good to note that they do not count against the number of scholarships that you have until that next season also. They just don't start school until the following year.

    1984 Hot Stove

Florida needs to trade -- make your low-ball offers before the season starts! (Seriously, I'll take low second or top-half third rounders for each of these guys.)

    3B Arthur...

    Re: 1988 "Recruiting Reveal"

It depends on what you need. My first season I needed bodies, so I recruited mostly lesser players... and ended up with quite the snipe list in the first round, and ended up with four HS players....

    Re: 1988 Phone Call Results

I went minimalist on pitchers this first round, and I still ended up on three top three lists for pitchers... total seven hours spent between the three... ten total hours used on pitchers.

It sounds like I don't have a chance on the guys I really wanted... at least I know I have good taste lol

    Re: Addition to Brockmire rules

I think that was what I was having problems imagining. So... 48 real time hours from the time the first offer is made to have a response from the original team, or automatically losing the player for...

    Re: Addition to Brockmire rules

Sounds great for a start... I am not sure I get all the stuff about passing through waivers and second time on waivers, but I like the idea in general. I wonder how this is different from teams...

I have only been around a few seasons, but I tend to take a lot of time planning a recruiting strategy... looking at the players available, the team needs, and what I see other teams (esp. those in...

You know your team is headed in the right direction when it has four of the top ten players projected for rookie of the year... and one of those players is mentioned in the top 10 for Cy Young....

    2084 Season

To give you an idea of just how bad the offense is on Reading, last year's #1 overall pick, Pitcher Wedo Lopes, has had 12 starts (11 QS) with a 2.08 ERA and 0.90 WHIP... and his record this season...

    Re: Please Welcome...

I had Holt on my list also, but after the two pitchers that I took, and after Lazenby and Waters... Holt was my #6 guy for the block. I see the other two pitchers went right after my picks.

    Re: Please Welcome...

I feel like I got three half-way decent players for it... a couple of finesse pitchers who I desperately needed, and a 1B who I think will be awesome. My pick #25 also filled a great need at corner...

    Fisher $1,702k
    Brown $1,605k

    No?

OH... I had swapped the Browns on my draft list... the $1,605k Brown went earlier. Sorry!

    Sticky: Re: 2114 Draft-Block 2 Due 9PM EST 6/26

I got auto'd already? I got an email saying that I was on the clock before the draft list was even out, and this is the first time that I could log in after that time... within 24 hours, I believe.

AUTO's in block 2: Fisher should have gone before Brown, no?

I guess I have to presume that pick 11 would be the same either way... but....

Anyway, sorry, but I had a meeting in Cincy today...
