A deal was reached last night between the St. Louis Skyhawks and the Houston Torros. St. Louis sent their top farm prospect, 17 year old shortstop, Robert Villalobos in exchange for 30 year old leftfielder, John Palmer. Palmer’s arrival will finally add a much needed left handed bat in the lineup and a solid bat at that. His glove is also very solid as well and will strengthen the outfield defensively. St. Louis believes they gave up a great future talent in Robert Villalobos, but believes this team, with the addition of Palmer, is ready to contend for a championship now.
