Something happened today that I would have never expected. The 6:00AM sim finished in about thirty minutes.
That, in itself, is fantastic! However, it brought one unfortunate side-effect. Since, historically, sims sometimes ran late, a supplemental scheduler was in place to try to kick-start sims 15, 35, and 55 minutes after their scheduled start date.
As a result, the normal 6AM sim started at 6:00AM, and finished at around 6:30AM. At 6:35AM, the supplemental scheduler kicked in, and since there was no sim running at the time, it assumed the sim needed to run -- so another 6AM sim was run.
It's far too late to interrupt this (the sim has to run its course at this point). However, I have turned off all supplemental scheduling so this will not happen again in the future.
