CSFBL Community

A reminder that at 10PM tonight, CSFBL will be offline as we migrate to a new server (see CSFBL moving to a new server this Thursday!).

Note that both the game and forums will be migrated, but each will be done independently, so some period of downtime for both is expected. Fortunately it should all happen in the wee hours of the morning while most of you are sleeping (and we are not!).

10:30PM Update:

CSFBL has been taken down and the final backup complete. The backup file (about 3.5GB compressed) is on its way over the wire to the new server. Estimated time of arrival: 1:30AM.

In the meantime, I am setting up all the necessary services, jobs, backups, and related fun stuff on the new server. I'll probably reach a point where I'll go watch some TV and take a nap -- setting the alarm for about 1:00AM so I can continue when the backup is finished copying to the new server.

Also a little note -- the help pages, previously at http://help.csfbl.com, will now be located at http://www.csfbl.com/help. No worries, though, as the old path will automatically redirect to the new path,

Still a little over an hour to go for the file copy. I'm going to lie down for a bit. Kid's a bit restless in bed, so if she wakes up at least I'll have company. :)

OK, up from the little nap. Restoring the final backup to the new server. Hopefully it won't take too long! We're almost ready for final testing!
